Tattoo Goo Lotion

image

So I was the guinea pig for Tattoo goo Lotion. Now, its doesn't really say what it is actually designed for on the tube, all it says is for new and old tattoos. I think the definition of 'new' is probably a few weeks old.

Although having tried it on my 'new' tattoo, which was straight after it was done, I would highly recommend NOT using it on a new tattoo. It was rather gross to put it nicely. Dried out and made it all go bubbly and the white just go a really foul yellow/brown colour. All healed up and its all good, but it was not a very good healing process.

It's really just a moisturiser cleverly marketed towards people with tattoos. In hindsight even by looking at it I should have known it would be rather useless on a fresh tattoo. It's really runny, and smells kinda foul too. Maybe after a few days then it would be good, but compared to the H2Ocean as a moisturiser after a couple of days, it didn't do much for me.

They have a heap of different products. I haven't tried any of the others but people have told me that the original Tattoo Goo in the little tub is really good. I might give that one a go next. But I won't be putting anything else on my fresh tatts that is runny and just looks like moisturiser.
