Well after a long long wait it was here , The Specials with  a 99% original line up for a 30th Anniversary tour , I couldn't help but wonder why Australia ? I mean America would have been closer and more profitable for the band , I reckon but I 'll leave it at that and get on with the show.

So I was in the car the other day listening to Retaliator, because I hadn't listened to them for ages. And remembered how much I fucking love this band.

But because I am basically lazy at the moment, and have far too many other things I really should be doing, I thought I would just dry clean some old stuff and re post it here. There are 2 album reviews and an old interview from 2004. So on the off chance you are someone who hasn't heard Retaliator before, then here is a bit to get you interested.

They have since called it a day, but it doesn't alter the fact they are friggin awesome.

Tim V talks Sham 69

Back in March Rick interviewed Tim V, the lead singer from Sham 69 just before there Australian tour with the Business. Rick's not afraid to ask the tough question, so read on and make up your own mind... I sure as hell did.

Originally this interview was published on aussieskins.com, which is no longer in existance. I voiced my opinion on the many contradictions and crap this guy talks about how good he is and all the bad things Jimmy Pursey did. Long story short, I reckon Tim V has come across like a right wanker, be there truth in what he has said or not, it's like the gossiping and rumour mongering which would be right at home on gayspace.

Of course, you can make up your mind. I hope you can anyways.

I would like to be able to give you some kind of review on the gig they played here in melbourne in April, but I think I listened to one or 2 songs and it didnt do much for me, so I returned to the bar. The Business on the other hand were fucking awesome. Best night out I have had for a damn long time.

Steve Bruce on Cock Sparrer

Rick did this interview with Steve Bruce in early February 2009. It did appear on aussieskins.com but we thought it was such a good interview it was worth preserving. Hopefully Rick will continue to interview various bands and people, because he does such a friggin good job of it all!

Cock Sparrer are by far the greatest band to have ever produced an album, with their latest album 'Here We Stand' (released through Captain Oi! in 2008) being classic Cock Sparrer and just as good if not better than the previous releases, here is what Bruce had to say on the here and now of Cock Sparrer.
