Slick 46 - Young Love
Written by After

Latest 10" release hot off the press from Melbournes own Slick 46.
Out now through Longshot...
Longshots blurb: This is the 4th proper release from this gruff and aggressive streetpunk band from Melbourne, Australia! With the additional of Flea on bass, SLICK 46 have become more melodic with the female vocals adding more melody to the no-nonsense 80's Oi! sound that they have been known for in the past...
For all you die-hards that need to know, there are only 50 in BLACK, 350 in RED, and the most desireable colour for this release is the RED + WHITE 'NUCLEAR' Style of which there are only 150!!
For a very limited time, you can order a complete set of ALL 3 versions as a package for a reduced price, only here on www.longshotmusic.com
My Blurb: I havent heard it yet, and probably won't for a while because we don't have a working record player. So go and buy it and then do us a proper review. Having said that, I was talking to Tim the other day and he is really happy it. From what I could gather it seems that to date this is the release they are most happy with. With everything from the production of the tracks right through the speed in which Longshot got it done and the quality of the vinyl. This is the first release as a true family band, with Flea now on bass.. So thats my mini review of something I haven't even heard yet. Thought it was time to do things a bit different...
These guys are off on their 3rd US tour later this year, and are well in demand. They havent been playing a huge amount of shows in Aus as of late, but they have a few shows coming up.
12 Sep 2009 Barwon Club Hotel Geelong, Victoria
19 Sep 2009 Punk Pit Pile Up @ Vedette Melbourne, Victoria
24 Oct 2009 Supersize True Grit ’09 Lansdowne Hotel Sydney, New South Wales
You can gran it through Longshot Records, but I do believe www.pugmusic.com should be getting copies as soon as they arrive in Pats's hands. So in the true spirit of supporting your local Australian scene, you should just hold out a bit longer and get it from Pat. Postage would be cheaper anyway...
