I like this one as much as I like the Rumjacks one. Thats all I need to say really...

No but seriously though...

I vaguely remember seeing the Casino Rumblers play friggin years ago, at 'The Laundry' I think it was called. It was at some upstairs club and they played with that band that I cannot for the life of me remember their name. There was a guy in the band called Monkey, I lived with him for a while, we printed the t-shirts for the band... Nope it hasn't come back to me. But that doesn't matter because it isn't about them!

Back to the story. I remember the double bass guy and thats about it. He was kinda freaky, or maybe I was just really really drunk and it was my first 'rockabilly/double bass/whatever style' band I had seen. Although I can't actually remember the music, I do recall thinking at the time that I liked them. Over the last 7 or 8 years (or however long ago that was) everytime I hear the name ' casino rumblers' I think to myself: 'self, I think I liked that band, I should check them out again'. But for some reason never get around to it.

So anyway, a little while back I was looking through Pug Music thinking to myself: 'Self, I should really buy some cd's off Pat. I have hardly bought anything of him and thats not very supportive is it', and then I saw it... That weird looking skull with red eyes and cigar... and I bought it. Obviously. And I really really like it. It's not as 'double bassey/rockabilly/psychobilly' as I thought it would be. Not that thats a bad thing, because I'm not hugely into that kinda stuff. Not that I am NOT into it, I have just always listened to other stuff. Anyway, they do a cover of 'Whole lotta Rosie' which is pretty good. I think I like 'Ink your life' the best though. Hmm, yeah, nah, maybe, yeah I kinda like them all.. All 4 songs. I hate EP's.

I think I have ranted enough. Not sure if I have really given you much to go on, but put it this way, if you like good, powerful rock n roll that makes you tap when you drive (when you aren't a tapping driver) then check out the Casino Rumblers.
